The Osbourne family just had a weekend to remember, and it’s not only because of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne’s final Black Sabbath concert. In a moment that melted hearts and made headlines, Kelly Osbourne got engaged to her longtime friend and partner, Sid Wilson of Slipknot, right in front of her family and a crowd of fans.

A Rock ‘n’ Roll Proposal

The big moment happened backstage at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on July 5, 2025, just after Ozzy Osbourne’s emotional last performance with Black Sabbath. Sid Wilson, 48, dropped to one knee and asked Kelly, 40, to marry him—right in front of her parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and a room full of friends and family.

“Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” Sid said, holding her hand. As everyone laughed at Ozzy’s classic dad joke—“You’re not marrying my daughter!”—Sid continued, “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?”

Kelly, clearly stunned, nodded yes before embracing Sid as the room erupted in cheers. She later posted the video on Instagram with the simple caption: “Oh and this happened yesterday!”

A Love Story Decades in the Making

Kelly and Sid first met in 1999 during Ozzfest, the music festival founded by her parents. They stayed friends for over two decades before finally starting to date in 2022. That same year, they welcomed their son, Sidney, making their bond even stronger.

On Valentine’s Day 2022, Kelly wrote, “After 23 years of friendship, I can’t believe how far we’ve come. You are my best friend, my soulmate, and I am so deeply in love with you, Sidney George Wilson.”

The ‘Honeybee’ Ring

Sid’s proposal was extra special thanks to a custom-designed engagement ring. He worked with Mouawad jewelers to create a ring inspired by Kelly’s nickname, “Honeybee”—a name also given to her by the late comedian Joan Rivers, her co-host on E!’s “Fashion Police.” The ring features a central white diamond surrounded by yellow diamonds in a honeycomb pattern, symbolizing Kelly’s “buzzing” energy and good vibes.

“It’s because she would buzz around and spread good energy like a bee. So I wanted the ring to embody that essence with honeybees, pollen, and diamonds,” Sid explained.

Family, Music, and New Beginnings

The proposal came at an emotional time for the Osbourne family, as Ozzy Osbourne, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, said farewell to his fans. Kelly thanked everyone who supported her dad, writing, “To say that yesterday was magic is an understatement. I can hardly express it without tears running down my face. Thank you to everyone who came to support my dad. We owe our existence to the fans!”

As Kelly and Sid celebrate their engagement, fans everywhere are wishing them all the best on this new chapter. If you ask us, this is one love story that rocks.
