Oklahoma City, OK – The skies over Tinker Air Force Base are set to roar again as the award-winning Tinker Air Show returns on June 28-29, 2025, promising a weekend packed with aerial thrills, ground displays, and hands-on STEM experiences for all ages.
Thunderbirds Headline a Star-Studded Lineup
This year’s headline act is the legendary U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, making their first Oklahoma appearance since 20193. Flying their iconic F-16 Fighting Falcons, the Thunderbirds will perform breathtaking maneuvers and precision formations that have wowed crowds for generations. Their show is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. each day, but the excitement starts much earlier.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, with vendors and static aircraft displays available until 5:00 p.m. Aerial demonstrations run from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., culminating with the Thunderbirds’ high-flying finale.
On the ground, visitors can explore dozens of aircraft, meet pilots and crew, and enjoy interactive exhibits. “S.T.E.A.M. City” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Artistry, and Math) offers hands-on activities like flight simulators, robotics, drone technology, rocket building, and more—perfect for families and aspiring aviators.
Kids can burn off energy in the Kidz Zone, featuring games, inflatables, and a rock wall (wristbands required).
Admission, Parking, and Tips
Admission and parking are free, making the Tinker Air Show one of the most accessible major aviation events in the region. Free parking is available at Tinker Building 9001 (Old GM Plant), with multiple public access gates open for visitors. Guests with wheelchairs or strollers are encouraged to use the Hruskocy or Lancer gates for easier access.
Security is tight, so expect bag checks and plan to bring only necessary items. Prohibited items will be confiscated at the gate.
